Jiroušková, Markéta ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Beneš, Zdeněk (referee)
Bachelor thesis Jiří Černý and music journalism during the normalization covers in its introduction the definition of the terms 'journalism' and 'music criticism' themselves. Further attention is paid to the history of music criticism and its historical development. The following part of the paper addresses the individual decades from 60's to 80's. It depicts the political context and music, especially the rock scene in the particular periods. Another significant subject of the paper is the tough living of music periodicals in the totalitarian regime. Emphasis is put on music journalist Jiří Černý who was prevented from free engagement in the media due to ideological reasons. The chapter mentions his programmes Antidiskotéka and Dvanáct na houpačce the latter of which was later prohibited by the regime. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the normalization regime influence on music journalism production.
